Family home modernisation and kerb appeal
This seaside detached family home has seen a modernisation and given kerb appeal.
We enjoyed working on the internal and external transformation of this 3 bedroom, 2 storey detached family home in Saltdean, Sussex.
To produce our clients dream family home we needed to improve the layout to make better use of the space and improve the external aesthetics. The Architect relocating the main entrance, this allowed the previous entrance foyer to be transformed into a small study/guest bedroom that takes advantages of the fantastic views across the South Downs.
As you walk into the house through the new hallway the space flows through to an open plan living with a spacious yet cosy modern living room also benefiting from the views. The living area then continues into a kitchen dining area with bi-folding doors opening onto the west facing garden giving a further sense of space and light throughout the first floor. The clever use of space continues with the creation of an under stairs seating/snug area and a glass balustrade up the stairs makes a feature and keeps the feeling of open space.
Externally the client wanted to give their property ‘kerb appeal’ we achieved this by providing the front of the property with a new contemporary landscape with new access steps. The main elevation make-over has been achieved using structural glass balustrade and vertical timber cladding.
- Glass Balustrade internally and externally.
- Bi-folding doors to the garden.
- Relocation of the front door.
- contemporary landscaping to the front entrance.
- Vertical timber cladding.
- Under stairs seating area.
